Jason Randolph is the instructor of the fourth course in the Google UX Design Certificate, Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts. He was also a member of the team that designed the entire curriculum for the certificate.

At the time of creating the course, Jason was Head of Equity Engineering at Google, but he is currently a Senior Staff Strategist at YouTube.

Before becoming a designer, Jason studied medicine at UCSF and worked at SF General Hospital. He holds two bachelor’s degrees—one in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and another in Molecular & Cell Biology with a minor in Chemistry from San Francisco State University. He also holds two master’s degrees—one in Health & Medical Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and another in Learning Design & Technology from Stanford University. Additionally, Jason has a Ph.D. in Learning Design & Technology from Stanford University. (1)

He is passionate about equity and advocating for underrepresented and marginalized groups, as well as those who lack agency or access to a voice in the industry. He currently lives in Paris, France.
